Who is the program for

SportUp NL is intended for sports tech startups at various stages, from early-phase entrepreneurs to mid-phase companies with proven concepts that want to innovate and excel in the sports sector.

What does the program offer

SportUp NL offers three different programs, tailored to different phases of the development of sports tech startups:

• SportUp Meet: For sports tech startups and early-stage entrepreneurs who want to network, learn from industry experts, and lay the foundation for their businesses.
• SportUp Boost: For early-stage startups who want to validate their product market fit, refine their pitches, and receive personal coaching over a three-month journey.
• SportUp Start: For mid-phase startups with proof-of-concept products, ready to scale their businesses with significant financial support and mentoring from imec.istart.nl.

Each stage includes masterclasses, workshops, and networking opportunities designed to provide hands-on, interactive learning experiences, access to a vibrant sports tech ecosystem, and personalized coaching to support startup growth.

SportUp Meet Sessions:

• Network: Connect with like-minded individuals, potential collaborators, and industry experts.
• Learn: Get insights from industry experts and entrepreneurs.
• Ideas: Participate in discussions to refine your startup ideas.
• Build: Lay the foundation for your entrepreneurial journey.
• Innovate: Stay up to date with industry trends.

SportUp Boost Sessions:

• Targeted support: Tailor your concept to market demand.
• Startup Workshops: Participate in workshops to accelerate development.
• Coaching: Get personalized feedback from experienced coaches.
• 3-month program: Organized twice a year.
• Preparation: desk work, validation and pitch refining.
• Investment: Join as a team of up to three people for €750 (excluding VAT).

SportUp Start Sessions:

• Partnership with imec.istart.nl: Collaborates with a renowned startup program.
• Investment: €100,000 in pre-seed funding.
• Potential for more: Eligible startups can apply for up to €250,000 in additional funding.
• Adjusted duration: Support over a period of 12 to 18 months.
• Advanced Workshops: Participation in advanced workshops for essential knowledge and skills.
• Mentoring: Expert mentoring to navigate scaling challenges.
• Networking: Exclusive events to connect with entrepreneurs, experts and partners.
